Or not

Woke up this morning to a remarkable lack of warmth... stupid furnace. None of the obvious things are wrong - light switch controlling power to the furnace is still on, circuit breaker still on, gas still coming into the house... couldn't find the pilot light to check it (though I'm informed by my work colleagues that if I'd taken the panel off the furnace I'd have found it easily enough).

Of course, if it is as simple as the pilot light going off, I'll have to be upset at the service company, since I asked them whether there was anything else I could check. We'll see - they're supposed to be out between noon and 2pm.

I want to be warm!
