Still Alive
It was pointed out to me today that I haven't been updating my blog recently... not that this was news, but anyway.
A brief update on my life: it's showtime for Iolanthe! We're halfway through our run, with four more performances starting tonight. It's been going quite well, despite the exciting and unpredictable consequences of live theatre; we have had positive reviews and everybody we've spoken to has enjoyed the show. Of course, the we I'm talking about here is cast, directing team, and crew, so it's possible that we're not getting an unbiased perspective, but whatever!
In other news, I'm back on the bench again. My two month contract is over, and there's nothing in sight for the future, although I've been able to avoid getting shuffled back to my previous less than stimulating position, for which I am duly grateful. I have also been lucky enough not to have any resumes or proposals thrown at me thus far, and am therefore filling my time taking online courses.
Once the show is over, I'm really going to try to take another look at this whole blog thing. I started it because I wanted to force myself to interact with the world and with the issues in my life, and hopefully develop enough of an opinion on such things to publicize it.
I'm having trouble because a lot of the issues that are prominent in my life are not ones that seem appropriate for publication... it does not necessarily do to posit one's ideas on relationships, for example, without first having such conversations with one's significant other. And even then, maybe not so appropriate for publication. The same can be said for work issues. It'd be another thing entirely if I was posting this blog completely anonymously and nobody could trace it back to me... but in that case, what audience would I have?
Anyway, I'll try to do something more entertaining and/or useful with this blog in future. TTYL

Hiya,
Well, I didn't expect you to post so quickly! I didn't mean to imply that you had to update; it was a passing remark.
I have my blog too, Tara, but I manage to hide mine and allow only a select few (okay - a select one) to read it because it's so darn personal. You may want to consider changing the security in your settings if you want to make it more like a diary...
Anyway, bravo on Iolanthe! It was a great way to spend a Saturday night, and a wonderful birthday present. Thank you so much!
